CRPF vehicle attacked with IED in Awantipoa, scores injured | KNO

Awantipora, February 14 (KNO) : More than a dozen CRPF personnel have been injured after a powerfull IED explosion ripped the bus they were traveling apart at Lethpora area of Awantipora. Suspected militants on Thursday afternoon attacked a Central Reserve Police Officer (CRPF) vehicle with IED. The blast was so massive that the explosion shook the area.A police officer who had visited the spot said that it was horrific scene as CRPF personnel were lying injured meters away from the bus. The vehicle has been tore apart in the blast and inmates were thrown out due to force of explosives, police official told KNO. “More than a dozen personnel are injured and few among them are critical, they have been hospitalized," he said. Sources said that forensic team will be visiting the spot of blast as well. (KNO)
